going simple

Remember the tried and failed labels?
Well yesterday I gave it a try again, going as simple as I could..
and surprisingly it turned out pretty nice.. I think :D

Sunset Beach

We went here last June during the kids school holiday while visiting their grannies in Jepara, Indonesia.

A beautiful and serene beach, it's named after the sunset because it has a breathtaking view of the sunset (yes, so cliche). Pity my pictures couldn't really capture the beauty of it..

yup, that's my handmade suppose-to-be-label name.

Found this tutorial for a quick label some time ago, and I tried to handwrite using permanent fabric marker instead of print on transfer paper (read: I don't have ink transfer paper).

... hmm not a pretty sight :p

really should consider about purchasing those transfer papers!

for Teachers with Love

My friend ordered these for her kids to give on Teacher's Day.

The bags are made of fabrics from Ikea, tenun Troso (handwoven) and batik. Can you guess which is which? :)

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to make something for my kids as well..

My friend saw the blue bag I've made some time ago and asked me to remake it for her.

Just between you and me, I didn't put any lining in the previous bag :p

But I sure make it for this bag now :D

Handmade Space

I drool over these pretty organized craft rooms and always dream of having the same space as those beauties.
