Tempur

Tempur is the name of a village at the hillside of Gunung Muria (Mount Muria), not too far from the city of Jepara. It boasts one of the most beautiful natural view I've ever seen!

I had fun playing with fresh cool water in it's mountain river :)

To The Beach

We went to Jepara, Central Java, Indonesia last week. It's only for a couple of days and it rained or cloudy most of the times, yet we enjoyed our stay there.

A package came just before we're leaving, it's a Charlie Bag from Sawo Kecik!

We're having this art/ craft swap, charlie bags swap to be exact, since we're both big fans of the bag. I've sent my version to her and I received hers just in time for the trip to the Jepara beaches!

Above is a picture of her version of charlie bag (which now is mine :D) at the Bandengan Beach. Located at the northern of Jepara, it boasts natural white sandy beach with beautiful view. We went there on a cloudy afternoon, that explain the not-so-bright pictures (excuses, excuses..).

Back to the bag.. it's a perfect beach bag! Reversible with one side made of blue flower cotton (with a cute flower button accent) and the other side made of multicolor waterproof material. How practical and pretty! Thanks again Sawo Kecik for the cute bag :)

Last but not least I also want to share some beautiful sunset pictures taken by my hubby at Kartini Beach, still in Jepara. Located at the west side of the town, it has the most beautiful sunset view within its humble premises.

Sunset Beach

We went here last June during the kids school holiday while visiting their grannies in Jepara, Indonesia.

A beautiful and serene beach, it's named after the sunset because it has a breathtaking view of the sunset (yes, so cliche). Pity my pictures couldn't really capture the beauty of it..

House Tour: Simply Eclectic

This one is my bro n sis in-law's house in Jepara, Java, Indonesia.


You can see the eclecticism straight away on the house's facade. Simple overall with neutral colors, yet there are some mix details such us the use of different kinds of natural stones which clad some part of the walls, also a mosaic pathway made from assorted ceramic tiles.

Upon entering the house there's a small formal sitting area which lead to the more casual living room situated next to the back garden.


I like how the high ceiling and chandelier looks so grand..



When actually it's very simple!



And this one below is my favourite.. the beautifully crafted details of the dining table.

Tenun Troso

Tenun Troso is a traditional handwoven fabric originated from Troso, Jepara, Central Java, Indonesia. Available in various motives (rainbow (as in above picture), ikat, plain, batik) and materials (cotton, viscose, natural fibers).

I'm lucky to get a handful of these beautiful fabrics for my next projects :)

Trilogi

No, this post's title is not typo. Actually there's nothing wrong with it if you read it in Bahasa Indonesia.

But ofcourse I'm not gonna give you some language lecture here, just simply introducing the new arrivals in our home and decor online store Feathers For Nest : Trilogi - set of three accent pillows.

House Tour: Oldies Corners

Well, this one's not exactly a house tour, more of a interesting corner spotting (if there is such a term). Below pics were taken from my parents in law's home in Central Java, Indonesia. I could immediately sense the nostalgic feel upon entering the old house, which always give me a nice warm feeling.
